Politicians cannot turn public servants ?

In most of the Constitutions available in the world, they have defined that all the people who are holding some status in the administration are public servants. If we go deep and try to find out the meanings of the term ‘public servants’ we shall come to the conclusion that this term mans the person who has been given this position should work for the welfare of the people and he should serve the people and not rule over them like a ruler. But if we try to find out the exact position of politicians who are elected, we cannot say that they have a desire in their heart to serve the people. These people had been taking part in elections and they had been spending huge amounts on these elections. They cannot be expected that they shall serve the people or they have come to this line just to serve the people after spending their own money.

We have noted that election need lot of money and if one is not in possession of money he tries to have support of rich people in the field and when he is elected, this fellow can be called a represented of those who had spent a lot of money on his elections. Since the people of the country are simply voters, they are not in a position to give money to this candidate and therefore, when this man is elected, he cannot be supposed to help and serve those who were not helping him in elections.

We have noted that this class of politicians took their birth in those countries which have adopted democracy as a way of administering the country and we have noted that all who can afford money are coming to this field. Since no age, no qualifications, no experience and no background are prescribed, all and sundry are joining this line. The people who are from the class of politicians, the people who could get some reputation in some other field are joining this line. In each country we can locate thousands of people who are politicians or they are politicians in the making and all are at work. The state is interested in adjusting them and that is the reason more and more seats are created for them. We start electing people from the Village Panchyats and then we have got so many state level legislative assemblies and a huge number of seats are made available for them in the main house and in the adjoining house.

Since the people coming in the line of politicians are spending huge amounts on elections, all want that they should get seat of power. We have noted that here too there is no prescribed qualifications for the post of ministers. That is the reason incompetent people are appointed as ministers who work under the bureaucracy and that is the reason most of the democracies in the world are actually bureaucracies and they are not giving them this name fearing that the people shall raise so many objections. But since the ministers are not having qualifications more than the officers working under them, these ministers are under an inferiority complex and they obey the orders of the bureaucracy. Actually all the orders are passed by the bureaucracy and those are signed by the political heads and these orders are called orders passed by the politicians.

Politicians have got only one desire in their heart and that is the desire to rule and they actually rule. We note that the people who were at our doors begging our votes are not allowing us to enter their house and thus they depute a large number of gun men to stop the people and thus we cannot expect that these people have got any desire to serve. They have got a term of only five years and during this period they are to collect money which they had spent on elections and on purchase of party ticket and then they are to collect something for the next elections. That is the reason, these politicians have started indulging in scams, scandals, muddles, bribes, corruption, sale of jobs, sale of quotas, sale of licenses, taking commissions and so on and we have been informed through the media agencies that these amounts are transacted through international agencies and these agencies are working for the politicians of all the countries. And it is on record that huge amounts are deposited in foreign countries so that these amounts could come in aid when the people are ousted from the seats of power.

Since this field is good for profit making, we have noted that families and families are joining this field and they are trying to occupy the seats of power. These people have turned rich and now they are having support of the bureaucracy and through them they are completing the files in such a manner that when caught, nothing can be proved and established against them and that is the reason very few people go to jail in spite of the fact that they had taken huge amounts from the pockets of the people and from the state exchequer. The further generations of these politicians would not need to work for centuries because these amounts shall be sufficient for them for centuries. It is very clear that in those countries who have adopted democracies and the people are not ready to accept this challenge, the politicians have turned rich and the people who are the real masters of the country have been reduced to poverty. Such administration should not be called a democracy, but we are giving this administration the name of democracy just to show to the world that we too are democratic.

Had all the democracies in all the countries established the people as masters of those countries, then these politicians could have taken the position of public servants. But actually these people never desired that the people should be over them, they created such situations in the country that most of the people should remain illiterate, poor, unemployed, houseless, living in huts and mud houses, wearing rags, beggars and the like and we have been informed that most of the people are kept below poverty line and that is the reason, we cannot expect that such people who are not in a position to earn tow time meals could have the sense that they are the real masters of the country. So till the present condition of people is there, no country shall become a real democracy and they would never allow the people to turn masters.
