If you have hired an attorney to file bankruptcy for you, tell him (the debt collector) he needs to contact your attorney. If they call after that, that is ILLEGAL.
Credit Card company lied to me while screaming so loud at me I couldn’t talk. I told him I was going to file bankruptcy. He said I was NOT allowed to do that and I had to make a payment today. My attorney took my $1,100 yesterday and assured me I could file. I’m waiting on that jerk to call me back. Maybe I’ll tell him he has to come to my house if he wants some money from me. Maybe I’ll just hang up on him, again.
